Date: July 5 – 18, 2025

Competition Details

For this competition, students will draw CAD models of products that can be installed on Skadis board within the competition period, and members of Nestspace will judge the work over functionality and creativity. After registration, the competitors will get the file within 24 hours after the activity starting date. By submitting the CAD model, the competitor will get the comments of their CAD model from Nestspace
members and get their 3D printed CAD model. The winner of this competition may also get coffee coupons as reward.

Learning Outcome

  1.  Promote the use of CAD software
  2.  Allow for better knowledge of making CAD models
  3. Allow for better knowledge in additive manufacturing (aka 3D printing)

Competition Rules:

  1. The model must be printable, no impossible object.
  2. The model must be printable by the 3d printers in innowing (For your reference: Bambu lab P1S/X1S printable object size: 250x250x250mm).
  3. the model must be able to install on the Skadis board.
  4. The model need to be able to perform the stated function.
  5. When handing in the 3D model, please write a short statement of its function and details.

Learning Outcome
  • Gain an introductory understanding of microcontrollers and APIs.
  • Develop foundational knowledge of the Arduino IDE and its programming language.
  • Understand the integration of web APIs with microcontrollers and explore their potential applications.
  • Assemble and program a WiFi-enabled mini TV that uses APIs to display information such as the time, weather, a Google Calendar, or data from a Notion database.
