Notes to showcasing teams

Step 1: Submit project details
(Priority for projects submitted on or before 12:30 pm on Nov 20, 2020 (Fri) )

You can update your submitted project anytime.
The following information about your project is required.
1. Topic of the project;
2. Team supervisor(s);
3. Team leader (Name, study programme, contact phone, email);
4. Team members (Name, study programme);
5. Short summary/description of the project (Around 100 words);
6. Project cover image;
7. Project poster 594mm width * 841mm height (A1 size) with 150dpi (3508 * 4967 pixels)
8. Project short video (Please provide a link, preferably at one minute. Note: The selection panel for the Inno Show Award will only review the first one minute of the project video)
Optional information such as other project images, project website, FB, IG, …etc can also be provided.
Inno Show committee will create a project page for your project on the Inno Show website, which is publicly accessible.

Step 2: Printing Posters
(We can help you print if you submit the poster on or before 12:30pm. on Nov 20, 2020 (Friday) )

There are two arrangement options for poster printing:

Arrangement 1. The project team submit the poster in soft copy before 12:30 p.m. on Nov 20, 2020 (Friday) through Step 1 for InnoWing team to do the printing for the project team.
Arrangement 2. The project team will print the poster by themselves. Please bring the receipt to Innovation Wing Office for reimbursement. Each project team can reimburse at most $100.

Poster file format	PDF or TIFF / JPEG (CMYK mode) with 150dpi
Poster color mode	CMYK (RGB will not be accepted)
Sample	You may download the poster sample here to start designing your poster.
Print job submission if you are printing it by yourself	Banner Shop Cost : around $100 per foamboard Working Days : 2-3 working days Contact : 2988 8823 (Location of Wanchai shop) Website : https://www.bannershop.com.hk/zh_hant_hk/foamboard-special.html Please note that you still need to submit the soft copy of the poster to Google form even if you are printing the poster by yourself.

Step 3: Setting up project booth
Nov 26, 17:00 (Thur)

Each project group will be assigned a project booth.
We will provide electricity and an examination table (to be shared with two projects).
The exhibition venue will be open for poster setup on Nov 26 (Thur).
Please come to the Innovation Wing Office on Nov 26, 17:00 to retrieve posters (if your project has requested InnoWing to print the poster).
The project group should report to the registration area and then set up the project booth with a poster.

Step 4: Inno Show Day
(10:00 am - 15:00 pm, on Nov 27 (Friday) 2020 )

Details of the project exhibition are as follows:

Arrangements

Students are required to stand by their posters to answer questions about their projects when the judge panel comes and views their posters during the Inno Show.
Each project group should have one student on duty between 10:00 am-3:00 pm, so that the judges can find someone there to demonstrate the project to them.
A table is provided for the project group to set up demonstrations.
You may use a notebook at the exhibition. Your notebook can access the Internet through HKU WiFi Network. Make sure that the network card of your notebook has been registered to use HKU ACEnet, and select “University WiFi” to connect.

Rundown on Nov 27	Event
8:30am – 10:00am	Demonstration setup
10:00am - 12:30pm	Project showcase at your booth to participants and judges.
12:45pm - 1:00pm	Award presentation ceremony
