With rising global issues in air quality, global warming, greenhouse gas emissions and other related
environmental issues. New solutions and technologies that work to mitigate global environmental issues has always been an essential area to delve into. Microalgae is a plant that works as a natural and sustainable method to reduce pollutants and produce biomass. Microalgae provides more than 50 percent of the oxygen in this world.

Recognizing microalgae power and potential, we will expose you to the latest technology of microalgae and the basic mechanisms of microalgae. You will know all the basic and essential information about how a simple micro-algae photo-bioreactor works. You will have opportunities for microalgae implementation and work together for a greener world.

Class size: Maximum 25 for each session (first-come-first-served)

Eligibility: Priority to Innovation Wing members and members of SIG- WeGoALGAE. All HKU staff and students are welcome to join.
No prior knowledge is required.
