CityMyth is a gamified AR city tour guide app that aims at reinvigorating the travel industry during and after the pandemic. Different from other travel apps, CityMyth integrates customized itinerary, AR experience, and scripted game（劇本殺）to familiarize travelers with the stories behind the city and add more amusement. Our product fits the needs of several user categories under the current situation of travel restrictions. For city dwellers, they can have a deeper understanding of their own city culture and history, while having an innovative form of entertainment. For travelers, they can utilize their limited travel time more efficiently and have more engagement during the trip. Regarding technology, we make use of Augmented Reality, Bluetooth Low Energy indoor positioning to realize our features. Our product is an unprecedented combination of these elements, so we believe a fad can be foreseen.

Recruit teammates
We are looking for passionate individuals that will contribute to the development of our project. Currently we are looking for teammates who have the following calibers:
Software Engineer:
- Preferably with CS-related background
- Related experience in software development(IOS/Android), be skilled in at least one programming language, eg. Java/C++
- Datebase creation and management
AR Engineer:
- Preferably with CS-related background
- Have a basic understanding of how to use AR generating software
- Able to develop simple AR animations on mobile devices
Designer:
- UI/GUI design
- AI graphical and visual design
- Advertisement and EDM visual design
- Project image design
Scriptwriter:
- Know about murder mystery game
- Have experience in writing stories
- Passion in Hong Kong tourism

Winner of Pitching Contest for Engineering Undergraduates and InnoHub members 2022
The pitching team received the highest total score in the Pitching Contest for Engineering Undergradates and InnoHub members 2022.
The team was awarded a cash prize of HK$1,200.
The proposal of this team is eligible to apply for the “Funding Scheme for student projects / activities by Tam Wing Fan Innovation Fund and Philomathia Foundation Innovation Fund” for further developing the ideas.
